Human Resources Associate/Coordinator

Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Assist managers and employees in a full range HR functions and procedures and administer employment programs such as orientation, benefits, vacation, leaves of absence, workers compensation, etc.
  • Filter data on new hires and employment status changes to Payroll staff for bi-weekly employee payroll and contractor payments.
  • Administer electronic employee records and related subsystems, including running routine and ad hoc reports.
  • Create and maintain employee files, ensuring completion of all required employment forms such as applications, W-4 and I-9 forms, as well as documents concerning compensation, performance, discipline, transfer, promotion, or termination.
  • Administer the shared HR service mailbox, answering inquiries and/or directing them to the appropriate employee.
  • Process new hires, terminations, exit interviews, employment verifications and unemployment compensation claims. New hire process includes, but is not limited to, sending offer packets, arranging interview related travel, answering applicant questions, and supporting management as related to hiring and recruiting efforts.
  • Assist in interpretation and development of company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in formulating HR strategy and implementing initiatives that support corporate and regional business strategy (eg: talent management, retention, growth).
  • Assist with administering company benefits programs and respond to related employee inquiries (training to be provided).
  • Assist with administering company 401k programs and respond to related employee inquiries (training to be provided).
  • Other related duties as assigned.
  • Requirements:

  • Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Self starter with ability to accept responsibility for projects and see them through to completion, to work as individual contributor, and to contribute as part of a larger team.
